Moderating request thread.

I just want to draw attention to the fact that some threads need to stay on topic. Mainly threads that are serious in nature, with legitimate questions, and good info.

My request for everyone:

1) If you know of any threads that you think should be split (Multiple topics that should be split into 2+ threads), Post a link here, or PM me or anyone of the moderating crew

2) Let us know of any outdated sticked threads (such completed group buys, or meets that have already happened) so we can unstick them

3) Most of you guys know this, but.. USE THE SEARCH. For example, we have another 'OBX diff' thread, or 'How much did you pay for your car' thread every few weeks. These threads in themselves are fine, but they don't need 10 threads each! If you start a new thread, look at the 'related threads' on the bottom and see if there are others that your post could have gone into, or a thread that may already answer your question. If that is the case, PM one of the mods to delete your thread.

4)If you think a person has overstepped their bounds or a thread should be lock please PM one of the Moderating staff.

5) Serious threads should stay that way, let's not deviate too far from the main topic without starting a new thread. The 'Off-Topic' area is fair game, but let's keep some of the BS out of the performance and mod sections.

As you guys know, these forums are pretty relaxed as far as rules go, but we as a community can do more to keep it at least organized. The RLF is VERY user driven in every aspect, the moderator crew can't do everything, so if you find something you feel needs attention, let us know so we can attend to it.

This is very specific, but the OBX thing does not search well. The search engine doesn't like it at all, actually.

I'm aware, because mainly it does not meet the '4 character' requirement, which is really a pain in my ass.

I am using google right now to find the OBX threads and merge them.

Ok...

Reoccuring threads (me) >>>> OBX (shab) >>>> Min search (me) >>>>>

then you tern that into a admin issue, and that into a calandar issue in one step, and we are now like 4 strings of thought OFF the topic. This is exactly what needs to stop. Start a thread about it (I know you have already) don't just fill another thread with it.

If you want to bring up either of those topics in another thread, I will gladly post my opinions on them.

As long as you keep your insane whoring to the off-topic, and don't just post for the sake of posting, then no.

If your question is if this thread is in regards to you, it is not.

It's about how other forums can keep things organized, and we can't even stay on topic in a serious thread.

You're off topic in a thread about how we need to STOP being so off topic. This is what needs to stop.

NoRemorse, I don't want to step on your toes. But, I think you should add, "If you think a person has overstepped their bounds or a thread should be lock please PM one of the Moderating staff."

Because, I don't check my e-mail regurlarly (atleast not the registration one) and sometimes have just a few mins to jump on here. It'd be so much easier if someone would PM me.
