Why do ppl hate on Intense?

I'm not looking for angry ppl here. I would just like to know. They have some good stuff for the L67 engine. I used some on my old Bonnie. Why are they so bad for the LSJ? Just confused thats all.

I think people don't trust their tunes is the problem, IIRC I've heard they run the car SUPER lean. Also, I remember somebody saying their exhaust manifolds were pretty piss-poor. I know plenty of people love their stuff too, though, you can't win 'em all.

Their tune was the direct cause of blowing one engine that I know. Their stuff is crazy IMO. They came out with stuff WAY before anyone really did their homework. Running a 2.5 or below pulley, overspinning blowers, not enough fuel, WAY TOO MUCH HEAT, that kind of stuff. Plus, mail order tunes are terrible ideas. I can make a 100% perfect tune for my car, but that's only for MY car. It won't necessairly run perfect on another car in the same city. Not to mention changes in gas quality, enviroment, temp, etc.....

From what I know of with Intense...yes they are running their tunes super rich...but the reason to that is to over-inflate their numbers. They are tuning cars so that the numbers they put out are MUCH higher than anyone else, of course trying to gain business.

They are marketing the HP/Tq numbers so ppl go with them instead of the next one.

All about business. I'm sure if you check the GTP sites, and search back a couple years, you will find a huge log on problems.

i concur

i remember watching a special on GT cars, and the crew for the mustangs had a specific tune on each car, although all were built identically and to the same spec they could not swap ecu's for their 3 or 4 cars. it would not work. they tried it when one car wouldn't start.....every car is still unique enough to have issues

Custom tune is the way to go.

If you're going with a custom tune, I'd not waste money on the stage kit. You can get the few parts needed a tune cheaper than through GM.
