Black Paint SUCKS: Volume 2

I washed my car at 6:30PM last night...This is a picture taken at 9:30PM!!!

After I washed it I took a shower, ate dinner, and took it out on a 7 mile drive. On NORMAL highway roads. No I dont live by a beach or down a dirt road.

Before anyone else with black paint chimes in ans says there's is fine. I am meticulous in washing may car. I only use MeQuiers Gold wash, microfiber mits, and chamois. I use two buckets. I dip in the bucket, I do ONE PANEL OF THE CAR AT A TIME (sideskirts LAST), then I spray down the mit with the hose to take off any dirt before going back in the soap. I always go in a back and forth motion and I use a firemans nozzle. I wax with Mothers 3 stage and I fucking treat this car like a goddam baby....Special note to choppstixx: Other than not being able to afford a leaf blower, we basically do the same thing

Here is another close-up. I NEVER take take my car to the car wash. I have washed it by hand since the day it came home. Yes its an EXTREME close-up and if you stand 3 feet from the car it looks great. Still has a nice shine and you would never know the difference unless you stuck you're nose in it like me!

Thats a 10 month old car with 5,700 miles on it.

Ouch. That's why I'm glad I got the silver. It's truly not my favorite color but it keeps clean (clean looking, anyway) for much longer.

You do?? Its always on the back bumper and REALLY heavy under the licence plate. It freaks me out. I thought maybe my car drives itself to PA nd hangs out at OZERMANS house!

Mrphoto: i would have totally got silver, but my last car was and I thought I'd change it up. You cant see anything on silver. I go months without washing the Tib

KSC IDK what your bitchin' about, mine stays clean as sin Hahahaha! The rear bumper and under the license plate collect dust the fastest mos. def. Try not using the chamois, I use MF Waffle Weave drying towels and the leaf blower helps a lot, plus I dry my car in my garage, that helps too. Might wanna let me detail your car also, then you'll really be sad when it gets dusty hahahha!

Oh so you HAVE a garage!?? That's a BIG difference man! Do you keep it in there as well?

It's hard for the scratches to show at day time in pics. I took those at night with headlights from another car. Like I said mine is shiney like yours in person too. I have no issues on the side panels its just the bumpers and places that collect the most dust.

I dunno what I could be doing wrong. Its possible that most of the scratches were there before I got it. I mean if it was built 10-05 and I bout it 8-06...thats a lot of time for a dealer to fuck shit up...I dunno. I'm about to say fuck it and bring it to the car wash. Why spend all this time/effort/money when I can have a place fuck it up for me!

Haha, my bust it is garage kept. I hate pollen tho, I had it outside at my g/f apartment for 5 hrs and when I got it home it was covered in yellow specs when I pulled it out today. The best advice I can tell you is get it clayed/buffed/sealed/waxed. Its your best defense from all the crap thats outside. Follow up with a quick wax and don't let crap sit on the paint too long. If you do that you can easily remove dust with a plush MF to make it look snazzy again. Also check out the Poorboys World and detail image sites and get some of PBW waterless car wash (its a quick detailer thats meant to be used in the sun or shade) I love using that stuff and its great to clean up your car if you dont wanna wash it. Good luck and lemme know if you have any question :0P
P.S. Those pictures were after i spent 20hrs buffing out all the swirls/imperfections in my car, then sealing it twice, then applying a pure carnuba wax. The only way to see your true imperfections in your paint is to put a halogen flood light on it, it shows no mercy trust me.

Have use ever used any polish on it? I use the Meguiars 3 step process (paint cleaner, polish, and wax), its alright but I think I'll be switching to Zaino next. Has anyone here ever tried any of the Zaino polishes and waxes before?
