This is a post from this website and a few others. I looked this up just for you Joe

Marcus Crebo here from Saturn of Peoria, IL ... I posted this on the Redline
forum as well.

On October 17, 2004 Saturn of Peoria commissioned me to take one of our Redline ION demo's to a test & tune event at Cordova Dragway Park. As you would expect the Redline transported us flawlessly to and from the track.

Once at the track I unloaded all the misc. travel items, but made sure to leave all factory components such as the spare tire for an accurate representation of street weight.

After the standard tech. inspection I pulled a number of quarter mile passes. The ET's started out at a lack-luster 15.256@95.75mph. That first run included a 2.591 60 ft. time with wheel spin galore as I got used to the ION's dynamics. Eventually I was able to hone that ET down to a 14.544@96.31 with my best 60ft of the day at 2.212 seconds. Along the way the ION pulled off a number of 14.6's, 14.7's and 14.8's! Considering GM reported a 14.8@95mph, I was impressed to say the least.

For the record the quickest runs were with normal tire pressures. Lower tire pressures did not help tire spin much and the top end mph. suffered. All runs were completed using 93 octane fuel from a local gas station and absolutely no modifications were put in place and just over 1000 miles on the odometer.

I will try to get a copy of the best time slip uploaded soon, but until then I'll list off the numbers.
.589 - R/T
2.212 - 60'
6.217 - 330
9.449 - 1/8
75.91 - MPH
12.215 - 1000
14.544 -1/4
96.31 - MPH

So the Redline's can run...Go get 'em.

wow so many people offering to have their ip's checked? hmm, nah, none of them can be the same guy *rolls eyes*, god, why do we get stuck with all the dumb people with nothing better to do then antagonize people who own cars they dont like, if you dont like a car, big deal, guess what, thats called having an opinion, making fun of someone because of their choice in car, or saying that your car is better because the other car sucks, is quite mindless, i wish there was a mederator to check ip's, but in all honesty, i dont think there is, so, from know on we all know its you, how many sn's do you have now, 6? get a life, do you laugh while you are typing this stuff? or can you not cause you are too busy drooling over your own shirt?

Maybe stiltman is a different person. All the other guys left, maybe it was past his bed time and mommy put him down for the night.

Stiltman, I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest here but why would you rev on an 89' Geo? That's what this guy said in his first post. Was it that obvious his car was modded or did you have knowledge of this prior? I mean if he beat you in a built up 89' Geo, good on him for a weel built car but there are better ways to go about it than the way he did.

The only way to starve a troll is to ignore them. Trying to be rational, state facts or challenge them just eggs them on. Stop posting replys and eventually he'll lose interest.
