I recently got a new hood for my RL. I noticed that it sat a tad bit higher off the headlights and the front bumper where it comes up by the redline emblem. Is this what you are talking about? If so, There isn't anything they can really do. The hoods they order are not factory spec, they are made by an aftermarket company since Saturn no longer produces Ion hoods. Just a tip if thats what you are refering to.

Just go though the gallery here and grab a pic of a hood at an angle you want.

there are 2 rubber adjusters on each side of the radiator support that turn in or out like a corkscrew which adjusts the front of the hoods height ,you can adjust these down or turn them in to lower the front of the hood to close the gap around the headlights.just remember that the front edges of the hood are supposed to sit level with the front fenders. if the the front edges of the hood are level with the front fenders and there is still a gap above the headlights then there is not much you can do about that. which would go with the guy that stated they used an aftermarket hood instead of a gm piece. also you may have to lower the hood latch itself if you lower the rubber adjustments to get it where you want it. i usually will unblot the latch and let it hang down and then adjust the hood to where i want it to be then reinstall the latch and adjust the latch accordingly for a good snug fit

it has never been the problem with the high performance car,,its always been the issue of placing that car into the hands of a low performance driver

Its probably not your hood but your fascia.

Open the hood and loosen the 4 bolts screws that hold the top of the fascia. Then have a buddy pull the top of the bumper toward the back of the car and relighted the bolt screws. Make sure to reposition the fascia so it is snug against the car. Lift and push it back while the screws are loose.

This happened to me once. I removed the fascia to install a Garrett HE. When I put it back on that gap was larger then before. I loosened it up and snugged everything up and now it looks fine.

Good point Bristol, I'm going to try it for the hell of it. But, the guy at the body shop told me the hood they had to order for me(In may 2008) was not even from a saturn manufacture. Some aftermarket company that produces replica car parts for car companies with discontinued cars.

It all soundsl like good advise but im just going to take it and drop it off with them because i dont have time to fool with it. the hood looks like of crooked to me the way it lines up with the fender panels.

Don't be a pussy. Just try it.

I think those are 7mm. Loosen them 3 turns to the left. Lift up on the fascia and then tighten them 3 turns to the right.
