It happens but not as much to us as it does the the ss's. I've heard good things about those from bwoody i think. Also unless you plan on goin past the 2.8 in means of power. It's not necessary. My .02

I don't think you'll break 'em as long as you don't dump the clutch at high rpm, or shake the tires really hard.

I thought the 'Balts broke FEWER axles than we did, lol.

I broke mine 1st time a ran her, although in all honesty it would seem the previous owner was plenty abusive before I got her. haven't had any problems with the new ones with plenty of aggressive driving and several autocross events on 245/40/17 Hoosier DOT slicks. BUT - I haven't taken her to the drag strip, either, and I don't launch the hell out of her. Partially out of residual fear for the axles I must admit. And I'm 100% stock.

The BWoody bars should help, I'm going the FE5 control arm/poly motor and trans mount direction. Or you could do all of the above. Regardless, just avoid wheel hop at all costs and get that launch down (which means rolling on from idle)!

What year is your car? 04 have stronger designed axles than later years, so you may not even need them. Personally I'm aiming for high 200s and still don't plan to upgrade axles unless they actually break.

Can you explain this a bit further......for some reason I am thinkin sway bar mounts at the frame, which only have one bolt...and am thinking you solid welded, or dual bolted them to the chassis.....PM if this is a thread jack...more for personal interest on the matter
