limp mode

i was wondering how you can tell if your car is going into limp mode cause after the exhaust install my check engine light came on but it feals like its running fine. my onstar diagnostic report said my emissions are bad and i do have a slight exhaust leak but only when the exhaust is not warmed up so what should i do?

limp mode will light up another light on your dash. it's small, in the shape of a motor with an arrow pointing down. and it's on the lower right side. you don't sound like you're in limp mode. limp mode makes you feel like your motor just exploded.
