LSJ intake manifold is "wimpy"

Not coming from me...but some other guy that is a vendor on the Solstice forum...

Probably just upset that I suggested something other than what he offers that probably isn't as technologically advanced.

"wimpy" it is not, but as is with most other stock equipment, there's always room for improvement. with the limited amount of space in the engine bay, i think gm did a damn good job of finding room for an intercooler setup

i think that by making it more efficient (with a dual-pass/opt B) and by adding another heat exchanger, it will be more than adequate for most people on here. but for the serious racer there's always another way to go that's more appealing

Yes, it's a Saturn. No, you can't drive it.

YOu are right the LSJ is pretty damn fine. Imagine an LNF already crashed and driver dead, (and the wheels end upon a Redline) like who needs more power? ...the funny thing is, the restriction for power in the Ecotec looks to be the exhaust port, not the inlet, and with the additions you mentioned the Laminova inlet does a pretty good job. It gets frustrating debating stuff with guys who want power and only wish to spend 10 cents, because at the end of the day who gives jack shit they aint gonna do anything....all they have is half baked opinions. Then there are the engineers with great theories who cant even put brake pads in right...and vendors who want customers to sign up sight unseen for stuff. oh well thats my rant for today

very true

it's common knowledge that the air to water intercooler is typically more efficient than an air to air because of the latent efficiency of water absorbing heat. it is also common knowledge (among air to water educated people) that, in regards to limited space in an engine bay, the laminova core is about the most effective way of heat transferring to the fluid.

the dual pass makes 10x better use of the laminovas, and the extra heat exchanger and additional amount of fluid will only increase the efficiency
