I would be at work and for a while and I would see this car drive by while I would be on break. I was in the market for a new car and could tell it was a Saturn, but could not tell specifically what it was. So I researched it and didn't realize Saturn made a cool whip. I test drove it and was hooked, I didn't test drive anything else...A couple of weeks later, I bought one of the last 07's in MA...O BTW, that other RL I would see was mantiskungfu! Thanks Dave! lol

Well in December of 2006, my Ford Probe was falling apart and I knew that I would a new car soon. I wanted something newer and boosted. My first pick was either a vw golf or vw jetta. But after no luck and since I had no credit, my mom cosigned with me on a Suzuki SX4. It was a nice ride, slow as balls, but it was AWD and a stick. It was brand new and had like 15 miles on it when i drove it off the lot. But then two weeks later, the dealership called my mom and said that they screwed up when they did the loan stuff...they did it illegally just to make a sale. So I had to drive an hour to return the car and pick up my POS Probe. Boy was I pissed, I made a nice scene in the showroom and left with a full tank of gas in my probe. So i drove my probe for another 2 weeks or so. I contiuned to search the internet for something else, and came across my Redline at Carmax. I called my mom and told her about it, she said she would go check it out. She called back that night and said i need to come pick it up. At first i thought it was N/A ION, but the first time I got in and felt the recaros and how much power it had, I fell in love. The car is still in my moms name, but the car payment comes from me every month.

My 99 Neon was pissing me off, I had just replaced the timing belt, waterpump, and tensioner, about two months later the powersteering belt snaps, instead of fixing it I appy online at lending tree and got approved for a few loans, decided to take the capital one blank check loan. Shopped around, one of the last places I checked was a toyota dealer, my only requirement was that it be a manual transmission, he showed me a cadi that was way out of my price range then he said "how about this redline" my response "what's a redline?" when he said saturn my immediate response was "no I don't like saturn" then he let me drive it, from then on everytime I test drove a car I thought "ok this is cool but more expensive and slower" they wanted 17,999 which was blue book at the time, I walked out paying 14,100. Loved the car ever since.

I first read about the RL in car and driver when it originally came out. Thought it was pretty cool but wasn't in the market. Then in spring of 2006 I was looking for a graduation present for myself to replace my Grand Prix. I went to look at the ion, and they had one RL on the lot. I recognized it and asked to test drive it. I bought it a week or two later and never looked back.

46k miles on my 06 and I loved every mile of it!

lol no prob man, glad I could help

I was in the market for a new car.... my v8 mustang, and my 200+ mile trip to go see my gf at the time was not cutting it. I didn't really know what I was looking for, but I had a pretty good idea... I wanted something sporty, sleek, different, fun... I went to thousands of dealerships all with the same disappointment when I left. Many a times I drove past Saturn places, saying to myself "yeah ok.... Saturn, they def won't have what I'm looking for so why bother..." lol true story. so after a little fender bender on the way home from my gf one night I got desperate, cause I really didn't feel like dropping more money into my mustang... I kept driving, kept looking, and one day I was like Fuck it I pulled into a Saturn dealership, talked to the sales guy for a little bit... I looked at a 2.2 and thought it was pretty sweet for what it was... I was just about sold. then the sales guy said you know.. I think this car over here would be more your style.... I took one look, he said supercharged, my mouth dropped, I saw the price, my eyes poped, and then it was good as done. I signed papers the following week and drove my baby home.... lol which was the scariest drive in my life lol cause I didn't really know how to drive stick yet.... lol and I still love her to this day.

i found out about the ion rl when i was lookin into the cobalt ss s/c back in 05. when i saw the saturn ion redline i thought it was real sharp looking. what made me more interested was how easy it was add hp w/ the gm stage kits. anyway a couple years went by and i needed to sell my car because the payments were too high. i wanted a cobalt ss/sc but were still too expensive and then i came across the ion rl for a really really good price. clear carfax report, low miles and single driver. i knew i had to buy it. have been happy ever since

i fell in love with the car back in 04' but couldn't afford it. in mid 2007 i was driving a very dependable f-150 4x4 and my roommate at the time wrecked it so i had to find a new vehicle. while driving the rental and shopping for cars i drove through the used car lot beside saturn of tulsa and noticed the same electric blue from the car i loved 3 years earlier along with the aero wing with a price on the wind shield setting by the service dept. went to the saturn dealer the next day at 8:00 in the morning, they pointed me to the mazda dealer down the road since it was just being serviced there. went and asked about the car and walked out with the keys by 10:00 that morning

I drove to FL right after a hurricane in Sept of 04. I had an F-150 and brought my mom a generator from NY since all of the ones in FL were sold. I was going through a divorce at the time and I really wanted to piss off my soon to be ex-wife by showing up with a new car. I went to test drive an SRT-4 and the dodge guy told me I couldn't drive it, too bad so sad I left. Went to Mitsubishi to drive an EVO, got the same story so I left. Went to the Toyota/Scion dealer and looked at the TC, thought it looked like shit so I left. So there I was taking a dump reading a magazine when I saw an article about the RL. Went to Saturn the next day, salesman handed me the keys to a blue RL. We both drove and beat the piss out of it. Went back to the lot and told him I'd take the Silver one. Been in love with it ever since. The sad thing is that I could have afforded the SRT-4 or the EVO no problem and would have actually bought one if they let me drive it. My choice was originally between those two cars. The salesmen really screwed up by not allowing me to test drive one. BTW, I was 24 at the time so not like some punk kid looking for a joy ride and they appraised my trade.
