2003 Lancer computer problem question

I know this is not a lacer site but i could use any help i can get right now like it says its my wifes car i dont buy junk but am forced to fix it when it fails lol thanks alot

Hey guys need some help here. My wifes computer/ecu has gone out in her 2003 oz rally lancer. The Problem is it will not send a signal to the ignition coils to start the car. So insted of paying a dealer 2500 or more to change this computer out i have decided to do this my self so i have a couple questions i hope you can help me with.

1) Where is the computer located? (i was told it is under the center console)
2) Can this be done and work properly without reflashing the computer?
3) is there a special number or model number i need to look for on the computer?

the problem is its a Mitsubishi

yeah thanks man i found it today as a totally dismanled the car no seats no middle or upper console no dash pulled it all out
