I have been looking to upgrade my car. The redline has been good untill we took a family trip. For a family of 4 its to crammed for us. I have been looking at a Pontiac G8 GT. looks like a great car. now i here that the gxp version is coming out......whooo hooo 400 ponies............then i hear its going to a stick shift.........dam im gettimg half mast........j/k... looking at some you tube vids on the g8 and found these 2 cars...... The Holden HSV looks bad ass.. then found the Vauxhall VXR8 this car is hella bad ass... is this car coming to the U.S.A. anytime? well if its not the g8 gxp will be supercharged. let me know what you think or if you have any info.

I hadn't heard anything about the GXP being supercharged. Would probably be a good bit more expensive if it was, but you get what you pay for in that regard. Just curious where'd you hear that at? It looks like a great performance buy for the money (The G8 GT, obviously cant say for the GXP) but it even got good reviews for every day usability and interior upholstery. Something the redline, no matter how much I love it, lacks. Damn a 6.0 liter supercharged.....pontiac?? Wonder if it will be up there with the CTS-V and ~550 hp.

Neither will directly come to the US. Holden is Gm's Australian company and Vauxhall is European.

The G8 is produced by Holden but sold as a Pontiac, and it is based on the Holden VE Commodore.

G8 GXP is coming to the US I believe in spring. Pricing hasn't been released.

The G8 GXP looks really really nice, sadly it's not coming with a blower. It's going to have the same engine as the base corvette, and the new camaro ss the LS3, here are some specs.

Sounds like i would buy the g8 gxp and put a super charger on it.......500+ hp. i will try to make the meet... looks like the gxp has the vauxhall rims....car looks dam good...
