i wasn't all that impressed with the numbers to be honest. Those are engine numbers not whp #s. I would expect with that kinda boost and cams that it would produce higher. I guess it takes a bit more power to spin the tvs1900 than we thought. I'm guessing when going with this setup you might want to look into a standalone ecu. HPT has its limitations. I feel a fully pushed m62 or TVS1320 pretty much make tuning with HPT fairly difficult with sensor limitations and such.
I think the 1320 is just fine. It has already proven to make over 400whp. That might be the limit but anyting more then that would not be considered "streatable".
No Alternator on that either... It takes an ass ton to turn that large of a blower.. Seems to me like real world on the street it would put down a little less than 300whp
These Blowers will probably end up being an Epic Fail.
On our cars.. We don't have the displacement to turn them to effective use.. I'm sure they would be pimpin on a Car in which the blowers output isn't as big as the engine itself!! LOL!
Guy at the shop just installed the K/B MAMOTH on his cobra. That thing is massive, we had to chop the bottom of the hood six ways from sunday to make it fit. Dyno'd like 800 rwhp. Love to see one of them, or the new giant whipple on an ls9!inklove:
Actually put it in a car and take it to the track and get the real #'s until then, meh, nice the lsj is getting some spotlight. About all the articles worth lol.
and has anyone done the 1320 with cams yet ??? cause the 1900 is using cams from what i understand and making 371 and if people are makin 400+ without cams well hell bring on the smaller blower
also i would like to know what the throttle response would be with a 1900??

probably the biggest gains you'll get for the car, besides changing out the m62 for tvs/turbo etc... is doing a full P&P on the head with some valvesprings to rev it out some more
very true the only thing that sucks is this is my daily so i kinda gotta have it also i need a tune bad i have a wickedss tune and my car runs like shit i got the meth kit just gotta get a sprayer which i have no idea what size i need lol
Guy that made 400+ on it was beating on it on the dyno for hours though.
You guys will see in a month or so what a fully built/ported lsj with a TVS will pull.

The sleeves are not being overlooked on the aforementioned build. So we will see.
yep, missing a/c and alternator iirc. also there was no drivetrain - clutch/trans/axles/brakes/wheels/tires... etc. so there's nothing special about this particular article imo. i like how the lsj is getting some spotlight, but those numbers have been made on whp with the tvs
Yeah no a/c, alt. or water pump. But as stated earlier, I think that was just quickly thrown together for entertainment purposes. I'm sure if a little time was spent, plenty more power could have been made, especially if the build was designed with the volume of flow of the blower in mind.
Do you actually know how much this blower is flowing or are yoiu just assuming since is a 1.9l its actually being used effectivly?
