Cool New guy here.

How you all doing? Well I have been looking to buy the saturn ever since it came out. Now i have a few questions
1) how reliable are they?
2) hows the fun factor of driving these cars?
3)what did you guys get them for "out the door"?
and
4) "Who is your daddy and what does he do"
Realy though i want to get a new car and have heard that besides having somewhat cheap interior the saturn is a better buy than the cobalt.
IMO i think the saturn is prettier to
i drive a fu--cus right now and i need to get out of it. I like the looks of the foci but hate the power or lack there of. I am curently working at a resteraunt but have to interviews for dealerships to be a sales associate.
So when i get the money i will pay the foci off then get me a new toy.

Reliability- depends on who you ask. I don't think there has been any truly great issues with it. The shifter seems to be a little weak for the target audience. The knob has popped off on many. There was a recall for the Cam sensor, but that shouldn't have any effect on any of the newer ones.

Fun Factor- Entertaining as hell... nice mixture of what the hell is that, and what a POS when people see you. Then you dust their ass in a Satty and leave a mix of denial and wonder.

Price- Mine was $19k with everything, tax, tag, title, financing, etc. Some lower some higher. I would guess that an '05 would be a steal right now.

Funny that you come from a Focus backgroupnd, since we're currently arguing with a group of focus tools right now. They think the SVT Focus is leaps and bounds above our cars.

I believe it I belong to those sites and they think a stock zx3 the does the 1/4 in mid 16's is pretty fast, and when they add an intake and pulley they are now some kind of beast. svt isnt bad but still does the 1/4 in about mid 15's. I have owned a v6 firebird that did it in high 14's and a formula that did it in low 13's so the focus IMO sucks and only good thing is the gas and insurance prices.
So you got one for 19 out the door DAMn thats good im hoping to get mine for the same or less with the employee discount.

1st - same answer
2nd - same answer
3rd- i paid 14,600 out the door fully loaded but mine was used 04 but it is well worth it and it only had 12,000 on it, it could have 20or 30,000 on it and i would have still bought it.

Stock we are in the mid 14's with the average driver. There are some better times, but someone always has a better time. Put it one road course though, and it tears things up. Not much a strip car, to me. GOOD low end torque though. Never really drops below 170 at the wheels. HP is UNDERrated as hell too. 200+ is typicall wheel HP.

I wouldnt mind buying a used one but im upside-down on the fu--cus. I need to get a new car in order to use the incentives the pay off some of the car.The bad thing is that i owe around 8500 on the foci. and the car is only worth 5 g's. Does the RL have any cash back incentives or anything??
anyways i want to go test drive one. so i will be back.
( only reason im going is because I am dropping of an application to saturn of ontario. so i might as well test one of those summamabitches out

1 - Haven't had any problems with it..yet (still, very low milage on it)
2 - Words can't explain it. The looks you get (whether they be a confused look or a pondering look, they are all good) or just the feel of the car when for no reason you deceide to give her a little more gas.
3 - Mine was 27K out the door with tax and plates (includes insurance)..but this is CAN.

Come September and after, the 05s will be a steal. That's when most dealerships will be getting the brand new 06s in stock, instead of receiving only one or two like they are now, with most of those being specially ordered. But the dealership I talked to said they'll start receiving the 06 stock in September, so after that, they'll want to get any 05 models they have left and will be willing to sell them for a bit under the sticker. Especially if the 06s start off $1500 less than the 05s....

IMO, the interiors of the focus are more refined. The suspension is a bit better, they can out handle us any day, partly due to them being a hatchback. And I like their head lights over ours, mmm HIDs. But that doesn't make their cars leaps and bound better than ours.

Well I test drove a RL today and all i have to say is DAMN! The clutch was short the shifts were decent and the power was right on. I had the A/c on and i will tell you the car looked bad ass. It was blue with 16 in rims huge rear spoiler and Blue. I loved it. I found my next toy. all i need to do is find someone to buy the fucus or steel it. I was upside down 4 grand and the tottal would have been 24 Out the door. they wanted 3 grand down. I love the car, four dooors easy access to the car seat, the interior went good with the blue. One question anyone want to Buy a focus?????
