LS2 Solstice

An article in SCC rumered that plans for the Solstice (and sky im presuming) are a GXP (2.0L Turbo) or a V8. The V8 that they said would most likely go in would be the LS2 found in the new C6's. Check it out, in sport compact car.

The Redline version of the Sky will be a 2.2L with a turbo producing 253hp. I read this off of gminisdenews.com. They had pictures of the actual engine but I came up short on my recent quest to find them again. I doubt they changed it after already producing the enigne in a couple test cars but if they have changed it or someone knows something I don't please enlighten me.

The LS2 going into the Solstice/Sky is being put in by an aftermarket company.

My brother in law works for GM and he said the soltice is also coming out with the supercharged motor same as ours in 2007. He told me he's drivin it around at the proving grounds.

So the solstice is going to be supercharged and the sky will be turboed. Hmmmm. That's wierd.

Damnit look at that engine bay. It looks cramped and s**t strewn about any which way they want...It may as well be a pontiac or a chevy. One thing I had always loved about saturn is their engine bays have always been clean. Easy to locate items, easy to fix....now they're in GM mentality "Let's throw everything in the way of everything else so we can charge 16,000 hours labor to change the battery out" I hate hate HATE it.

No they're going to have the turbo come out first with the soltice but they're also supercharging it after a little while. Thats what my brother in law said and he works out at the proving grounds in Mesa.
