Just picked up my 2006 Ion Redline last night, which also happens to be my first 4 cyl car. I traded in a tired 1999 grand prix GTP to get her. I will get some pics up later, but the car appears to have been modded some.
In the process of researching the car i have found it has the GM Stage 2 pulley installed with the blue bolts, but it appears to have stock, green injectors. I know the dealership changed some parts out before they sold it to me so i am not sure if it had the full stage 2 kit before. i can't tell by the rev limiter because the car runs horribly over about 5k rpms. The rpms bounce around some and you can feel the engine power fluctuating. It seems the higher the rpms go the worse it gets. Car runs great from idle - around 5k rpms. Im sure this is probably due to the injectors, but could also be due to a stock tune.
The car has an AEM wideband gauge but its not functional. i havnt had a chance to look to see if the wiring has been cut out. It has an autometer volt meter that works (yay) and an autometer boost gauge that is powered but doesnt work. I think the boost gauge just needs the vacuum lines run.
TLDR: Just dropping in to say hi. I love my redline so far, and look forward to restoring her potential.
