Usually when its a car this old and such low value and the air bags go off, they will total it. SRS system along to repair/replace will be 2k and up.

That sucks to hear about the wreck, I'd be very upset too. At least your ok

Ohhh,So the Tree was the Culprit/.Well,The other guy was trying to Help other driver's from hitting the tree.I'll change the other post,as I thought it was his disabled car,not a Tree.Again,Sorry to Read,and like the other guys said,It just may be repairable,which is a good thing/.Have a Nice Day.

Yea the guy was trying to warn me and move the tree. He was really cool. I hope I can buy it back. I think I could repair it fairly reasonable. The SRS system would be the only thing I would be unsure of. I's it the same as a regular ION? I could pull bags cheap. Then reset the system?

I bought both bags, and the module for 220 shipped on car part. The hardest thing to find is the Redline texture passenger dash panel. Ion one will fit (which is what I used) then dyed it to the black color, came out decent.

They totaled the car. I have to get a hold of the bank tomorrow to see if they will allow me to buy the car back. I may attempt to put it back together, but if not I will part it and scrap it.

All it needs is a radiator, intercooler (I was thinking the new ZZP Stealth), front bumper, both bags and SRS module, front wheels and maybe control arms, tie rods, ball joints etc. As long as it doesn't have any major frame damage I should be OK. The sub frame did take a hit and looks to be pushed back maybe 1/2".

Hopefully everything works out for you and you can fix it... I bought my airbag kit for only a couple hundred bucks used but when I got my car done couldn't get the airbag light off and dealer said the control module to be vin matched & can't be reprogramEd so that was another $450 for a new one

Plastic parts around and under the front end add up fast. Most get destroyed during a crash.
