Just came home from work about two hours ago (1am here in NY). I was coming around a left hand turn and there was a car coming pointing at me with his high beams on. As I slowed down the guy was waving at me and boom. My car went airborne, slammed down and the bags blew. I came out without a scratch. But my car is F'ed. Bumper, intercooler, radiator, sub frame, both front rims, quarter panel cracked, both airbags diploid, control arms all trashed. Not sure what else. I got coverage, wonder if it'll be getting totaled or not. I'm really mad, car was running so great. 05' RL Stage 3 60k. I'm really bumbed out, Just had to vent. Got a ZZP Mid header that is in the mail too. FML. Be on the look out for a partout if it is totaled and I can't rebuild.
that sucks.there is not alot of theses cars and I hate to see one go down like that.at least your ok!
if you do part it out is the driver side rocker pannel good?
if so Id take it.good luck with everything.
Body damage was limited to pretty much the front bumper. The top motor mount looks like the motor might be tweaked a little. Both intercoolers, radiator trashed. Both front rims bent. Both airbags blown. Maybe it'll be totaled and I can buy it back. But it may be repairable. I think the sub frame is pushed in a little.
For an 05, most likely totaled. I'm sure it can be fixed, It's cheaper for insurance people to total than repair with the "unknowns" that show up during the repair.
What exactly did you hit? Something in the road or the guy with the high beams?
Where in NY?

I'm in Binghamton. There was a tree down across the road that I ran over. The insurance adjuster said it sounds like it will be totaled. Now I have to see if the bank will let me buy it back.
