there isnt enough redline around..lol i think redlines are one of the of most underestimated cars of this time span...its like a well kept secert. I cant seem to find one with the all black recaros though..i dnt want the blue gray ones and i dnt really wanna finace one.
what is wrong with the 04 redline comparing to 05-07? all I know is that there are some constructure differences like trans mount or so and no aero wing. what else then?
I think the 04's have different axles. Not sure whats different about them, I just remember hearing that they were a little stronger or something.
Other than that . . .
04's and some 05's have a different stereo
04's did not have a competition package available
A lot of 04's had the intercooler wires reversed
04's do not have any fog-light wiring. The later models included the wiring even if they did not have fog-lights. This means makes it a lot more difficult to install the factory fog-lights in an 04.
There are probably a few more, but I can't think of them.

More of the 04's had "mystery" problems, i.e. the ones that can't seem to be solved compared to other years. That being said, the ones without the problems have run great.

Well, FMHO,
1.we can add a more quality aftermarket audio on 04's, no prob. at all
2.we can add boost gauge and tach meter, no prob at all
3.that is a easy fix.
4.I just drilled holes on the fog light place, so I have a functional vent to air filter instead of a fog light assembly on its way and more cold air will hit the air filter.
I heard 05-07model have more horse power, 205? our 04's have 200, is that correct?
all yr redlines are great,I just got an 04 no problems, awasome car,has fogs already done, etc.when I had my gen2 lightning they all will say get the 01+yrs
not rally much different,my 99 was great no problems.
and these cars wont be around forever, they just didnt make that many of them.
you can count on one hand how many are for sale, across the country,it took me awhile just to find a single one for sale in a 300 mile radius of me.
my gen 2 lightning is pretty rare you dont see many of them, and they made 24,000 of them, ion redline they made like 5,000 total in a 4 yr span.
beside my redline I have now I have seen a total of one ever in my state driving around.

All Redlines were rated at 205 hp and 205 torque, but a lot of the later year models would dyno anywhere from 200 to 220+ hp stock.
i'm really looking for a "nearly new" one
I'm talking like a 2005-2007 with all the good stuff,
like comp package, recaros probably (even though i want a black car with a red theme , can you buy seats seperately or re-do the fabric color somehow?)
I'm thinking I'll pay close to $12,000 if i could get a really close to new (under 100,000 km) with comp pack and all the goodies
is there any chance of me finding a newer one?
and what year is the best, does 06 have comp pack available as well as recaros and all the good stuff?
