Long story short: I was changing my oil, my wife was in the garage yelling at me, I put an extra quart of oil in my car and drive it hard for a few days... Started the Subaru sound, so i pulled the valve cover to check out lash adjusters and lifters, everything looked normal. I changed the plugs and the sound diminished a lot, but I could still sometimes hear it. Fast forward again, changed out my turbo to a new redesigned k04. The Subaru sound came back, it's hardcore misfiring, and I'm getting plumes of white smoke... But this only happens after 20 minutes of driving for a few minutes, then it all goes away... I should also note the car is still running strong as hell....
you gotta love your wife.... compression check your engine, just thinking the extra quart may have blown a ring especially if you got on it hard while it had an extra quart.. you have an LNF im assuming
Wouldn't think that the extra quart would cause that. I would do a compression test and go from there. Keep and eye on coolant and oil level in the up and coming days
Either way, it's got white smoke and the Subaru sound... Could be a coincidence or it could be a contributing factor. As I have absolutely zero time to tinker with it, it's going to a shop today...
