Mixing 110 with premium?

must be a northern thing. Also, their e85 pump go down to e70 in the fall and back to e85 in spring... weird they have to retune twice a year. it must stink for them

Retune for e70? Nah. I just made 309 on it. Fuel trims do their job of you let them.

Yah rightttt? it sucks we have 87/89/92 fuel and e85 at some locations but like said its not pure e85 all the time.

Even E70 is a great fuel. There have been scientific studies done on turbo charged ecotecs that shows a dimishing return on fuel economy and power past an E50 mix. With a supercharged LSJ I would expect that to be a little higher like E60 or a little more.

Basically what it means is that your fuel economy is dropping off too much and the HP gains are starting to tapper off past E50.

I wish they would I could find a pump that always had E70. Or one that would allow me to select my mix.

problem with alcohol blends is they absorb moisture. The longer they set, they more moisture absorb, the less potent the fuel...

We use to store methanol in drums at our house for our race car. It worked well but it was just a pain in the @$$. Moving it, pumping it, and the space it took up. Have you ever moved a drum of liquid by hand? We had to lift it in and out of the back of the truck by hand. Eventually, they started carrying Methanol at the track that was more costly and we just dealt with the increase of price. haha

I know a guy here that blends e85 and 93 50/50 and brings it to his house in his truck and pumps it into an overhead tank to fuel up when ever he or his gf needs. They drive Solstice GXP and a Sky RL
