Lightbulb Am i Crazy?

Every once in a while my friends and i go aroud the local dealerships looking at and test driving cars. Well to day i saw one of my favorite cars. A 2002 Z28. I was talking numbers with the salesman and i could probably get into for not too bad of a price. It's a 2002 35th anniversary edition 6 speed with only 2800 miles on it. They want 21,900 for it and the guy said they could probably go down a little bit.
Would I be crazy to trade in my Redline for a Z28? I would probably loose like 6,000 on the Redline. I've always loved Camaros and this would be like a dream come true for me. Should i consider it?
Help me out.

Not crazy at all. I'm an F-body man myself.

However, if you're gonna pay almost $30,000, maybe more, it would be kinda foolish. 2800 miles though? That's not bad, but it's gonna be alot of $$$ for it.

As much as I like the RL I would trade for a mustang gt or a z28 in a minute. But I have to face facts both were out of my price range I got 0% interest on the RL and the loss would be too great.I guess I will go out and hug my RL now because there is no way I could get a good enough deal to get either a z28 or a mustang GT but the RL is a good third choice for me.

Just haggle like a mofo. You can get the trade you want on it. Id say go for it.

I agree with Spooner, I've driven nothing but F-body's for the past 10 years and I just traded in my 1994 Trans AM GT, not because I didn't like it, but because the RL gets much better gas mileage and it had over 125,000 miles. I drive 110 miles a day to work so gas mileage and being rear-wheel drive were big negatives. I see myself getting back into a T/A when I move close to my job. Twenty-one nine is a good price for a 2002 T/A, even if it had high miles

ask hiim if he will go retail for retail. That is how i got a great deal on my old car. That way you pay retail for his car, and you get retail for your car, instead of whosale. Might save you about 4k or so.
