Talking Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturn of Virginia Beach gave me the Ion level 2 as a loaner!!! Oh the horror!!!

Ok, so maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but to be fair, it's a huge difference going from a redline to a near-base model Ion. I had to drop mine off this morning for the TSB relating to the trunk rubbing on the bumper. They have to keep it a few days so the paint shop can fix the rub marks.

Every time I take my car in for work I mention the bumper scratch and every time I pick it up they seem to....well....not do it.

question(not trying to steal the forum) has any one had a problem w/ stepping on the gas and the RPM's drop b4 they go up. My car sputters for a split secound when I tap the gas. it only happens when its real cold outside. I have to wait for like 30 mins after the car warms up.

The TSB for the bumper scratches is TSB# 05-08-62-001. I'm pretty sure they are adjusting the bumper and I know they are repainting the top of the bumper and the bottom of the trunk lid. Other than that, that's all I know.

I had a similar experience this morning.

Ice/snow this morning, and my sister happened to be home for break. So I decided to take her '02 Elantra, w/ all season tires.

Man oh man. First "real" driving in another car besides the RL since August. Found myself pressing the non-existent clutch and fumbling for the gearshift all the way into work. Eyes darting to center console to find nothing but a sea of plastic, no spedo or tach.

However, there was some ice out there, and the Elantra's lack of torque and all seasons had one huge advantage. I didn't slide, spin, or lose control even once. Would've been a helleva ride in the RL.

Couple clear spots and I fed the car some throttle. My god...I can't believe I used to drive cars that speed. It's the 4 spd. auto...quick enough in 1st gear, but second's almost laughable. No power.

The RL's spoiled me. I can only go faster now

I had mine fixed a while back and what they did was install new bumper stops(3 - rubber stops to bottom of trunk) and touched up the trunk and bumper. they did a good job and it's as good as new (or better because it don't scratch anymore ). I droped it off early morning and had it back that evening. Saturn of Clarksburg has always done a good job for me.

I owned a Ion 2 before I had my Redline, it is a really bad car!! I would never volunterarily drive another one as long as I live.

The bumper scratches are from the trunk hitting the deck. Atleast that is what my dealership has been telling me, they still haven't fixed them yet, but when I complain thats what they tell me.

Ok, I wasn't sure how they were fixing the problem. Bumper stops makes sense though. Saturn of Virginia Beach seems to be treating me well, I've had really good experiences with them so far.
