Arrow Install Sub without AAS

Does anyone know if the pink wire runs to the back of the car if you dont have the AAS?? I have the OEM, OnStar, XM Radio deck but was not able to get the AAS unless I waited 4 months for my car. I said forget it, i will just add my sub to it, maybe some better speakers and be better off. I pulled my deck and noticed that I do have the pink wire coming out of the deck heading somewhere but since I dont have the amp in the back, I dont know if they hid it in the area between the top of the trunk and the back deck. I just want to avoid having to run wires from the front to the back of the car. This is so much easier if everything is already back there. Oh yea, one other question, what are you guys using to tap into the positive battery terminal?? Are you getting an extented post that you change out or is the best idea to just run to the dist block in the hood and run a wire back??

Thx

take an o-ring connection and crimp it onto an end of the wire.. then sandwich the o-ring in between the terminal and the connection.... you'r not gunna be a running a huge bad ass system so don't bother set one up for it... the o-ring will work perfectly for what you want... as for the pink wire... screw it just run an RCA cable and be done with it

I have no clue what you are talking about. the pink wire is used for remote on, not audio, i dont know why you are saying screw the pink and use RCA. My amp has a built in high to low converter so I am just going to get my audio sig from the rear two speakers. I am talking about the pink cable to get my remote on working. All i want to know is if that cable actually makes it to the trunk?

The pink wire isn't going to the back of the car. If you remove the passenger side plastic panel ahead of the door, you'll notice that the pink wire is stopping in the connector there. Just splice in another cable there and run it to the back of the car. BTW, i've got that installation with 2 10" subs and it sounds great.

I don't think the pink wire gets to the back. I've been looking into this for my own upgrade. According to the schematics it appears all radio cabling is the same down to a connector in the passenger side kick panel. From there back, I'd guess the harnesses are unique for AAS/non-AAS.
As for the battery connection, are you talking about an extender post or extender bolt? Extender bolt is the cleaner, easier and cheaper way to go. It has a stud for attaching accesory leads. Many years ago they used to be difficult to find, but they're readily available now. I got the last one for $4 at Auto Zone.

Oops I guess nico beat me to it. My suspicions were correct.

I have the advanced audio also with 2 12's. I tapped rcas into the wire harness right on the aas amp. The remote wire taps in right there also. As for power wire I put in the replacement 'gold' post and a 1 fared capacitor thats in the spare tire well. I also grounded ewerything to the ground off of the battery. Its kind of hard to find a good ground in this car.
