Quick Question about an srt and a redline

I currently own an 04 srt , i just ordered my agp gt3076r Kit for it about 2 weeks ago and it should be here in about 2 weeks . Got a fully built engine , stock bore weisco pistons, eagle rods, darrel cox oil pump, stage 3 head , crane cams , springs retainers , valves etc. got over 3k in the engine/head work . With all the fuel and stuff its going to be drinking and all that good stuff i would like to have a daily driver .

Now my main question is should i get a redline as a daily driver? My dad and i build wrecked cars , my srt was wrecked and we built it back etc. then we just bought an 04 redline blue , should i buy it as a daily driver ? i mean would it be dependable ? You all have any major problems yet?

Sorry for the long Questions Just curious before i dump a lot of money in another car .

no major problems at all here i love this car and its great as a DD everyday very comfortabel ride, great mpg as long as you dont always floor it and it just makes me smile everytime i get in a little traffic and there is that spot that is open but you gotta act quick and you just step on it and have that s/c scream and bam ur already there when if you were in a little ol honda or geo you would have been smashed

Most of the problems we've seen have been nitpicky little things that if it weren't for the warranty we wouldn't even mention. The engine is supposed to be pretty rock solid so I would say you'd be safe doing this as a daily driver. If you're in rush hour though you know how sucky manuals are. Kinda your call on that bit. And with stock tires it's defintely not a snow car either. Make sure you have upgraded tires if you live in the northern parts.

Well i got a 00 civic si right now as a daily driver along with srt but somehow the srt became both the weekend car and the daily dirver, lol . So i think i am going to sell the civic and get the redline , cant find many upgrades on the redline though except an intake , got any good sites for the redlines?

Check out the supporting vendors down on the bottom of the forums page for some more upgrades. You can pick up intakes, pullies, torque braces (dampners), headers from a few places (although only one place reliably right now), exhaust is hit or miss with there only being a few out, mostly 2.5" instead of the 3" some people want. There rare more and more things coming out every week it seems, so you should keep your eyes open for new products, which we seem to pick up on rather quick on here.

Great daily driver, comfortable, has enough balls to make me smile (though I'll be getting stage II), and whereas I see tons of SRT-4s and WRXs, I only see a few other RLs, and I know most of the owners. Namely, Brian.

Handles better than the SRT-4, at least stock. I test drove the SRT-4, and it would've been too annoying to commute in every day.

Someone had this analogy---

BMW M3 : Audi S4
SRT-4 : Saturn ION Red Line.

I think it makes sense. We're a better daily driver, but the variations make it different, just as fun; a differerent experience.

And people KNOW about the SRT-4. Something magical about leaving people in the dust, s/c screaming, to read on my bumper:

SATURN.
