goodies in the mail...

just had to post to say ... just ordered the 3.0 pulley from SFPH, and the ebay strut tower brace (looks good enough to me... cynic i'll be waiting for your engine mounts mate.) that brings my stuff to...

K&N Intake
Sprint ~2" drop springs (god knows how low they really are...)
Rev 3.1 torque brace
3.0" sfph pulley with 1 stage colder copper plugs
Strut tower brace
big ass alpine stereo.

I figure the added power should be good enough to offset the added weight of the stereo. rofl.

of course i'm not sure if i'll install the pulley. i just ordered it so i could think more seriously about it. and say i could have one, bwha ha ha. . . ... damn warranty.

anyone else paranoid about gm? ... pricks.

couple things...
1) I would be more concerned about the sprints voiding your warrenty if you were to bring it in for any sort of final drive issues. CV joints, half shafts, steering linkage, even diff failure.

2) the 3.0 pulley is very tried and tested on these forums, and the engine is VERY capiable of handling it. You can always throw your stock pulley on. I think the biggest risk of the pulley is the install. It is possible to f up the snout of the blower, either by stripping out the threads or even worse bending the snout. Once you are on, all is good in paradise. If you do end up disabling boost bypass, MAKE SURE YOU DONT HIT THE REV LIMITER ANYMORE (even though I mess up about once a week). The sounds/feel on the engine makes think something bad happens every time.

3) I don't know where you live, but my local dealership (Saturn of Sterling, holla), the 2 of the techs have RL's and reconize they are tuner cars. I don't know much about the service manager, but it is good to know that the techs will not give me crap for my bolt ons.
