SRT-4 Owner checking in

Hey guys I just wanted to say whats up... I really like the Redline and you guys seem really cool, the srt4 forums aren't very fun, most of the poeple there are dicks.

I have a few questions for you guys though:

Is there some kind of extra door besides the passenger and driver doors? Those slit things look like they might be a small door that also opens, and if so can someone post pics of it?

And how do you guys like the center gauge?

I think the Redline is cool as hell, especialy since its so rare. Seeya!

thanks for joining the forums man.

im glad u like the car, most srt4 owners dont, haha.

i like the center gauges but there is one minor fault i find with them. the order from left to right goes gas gauge, speedo, tach....

it SHOULD go, tach, speedo, gas gauge.

it would be so much easier to read the tach on the left side than to loo over to the right side. just doesnt make much sense to me.

but thats just a minor complaint about the gauges, but as for it being in the middle, it takes some getting used to at night, it seems so much darker in the car, but its really very nice....i'd miss it if i didnt have it.

I got used to the center guages quickly, and find their placement just as easy to read as ones right in front of you. In fact, I like them better because, being "vertically challenged" at 5'9", I can still keep my seat very low. This makes it easier to drive, IMHO, and I can keep the steering wheel locked lower than usual, w/o blocking view of the guages.

The suicide doors, center guages, and screaming supercharger (have you heard one yet w/ an open air box? If not, check one of my vids below) get this car lots of looks.

I almost got an SRT-4, but...the dealer was a prick and a half, and would not budge on the price (about $22k). Plus, I imagine it could beat ya to hell and back as a DD. Don't get me wrong, the SRT-4's a helleva car, just wasn't for me.

Plus I picked my RL up used, w/ 7k miles, for $16k.

So, welcome! I can't wait to run an SRT-4 one of these days, just never really see em.

The center gaues rock... even more so after u drive a car without them.

Stock boost is good, get it up to 15-18+ with a $130 pulley swap.

Rear doors are the shiz-nit... it also counts as a 4dr for most insurance places!
