no offense as I could be completely wrong.... but this is the one thing the RL wouldn't be able to 'mooch' from the SS... not a w/e, a very critical thing that this is probably SS specific.... right?

Just FYI.. Im looking into the price of getting a custom Roll Cage done on my car. A Friend of mine does a lot of work for Rhys Millen.. (spell check that one) LOL And he said he could do a custome 12 point cage for about 3k. Im gonna try to talk him down. He is over in Lake Elsinore... In SoCal...

true, a cobalt cage is going to be different to fit around the different interior.
so no its not a direct swap, but that article is on how to build one. no that gm is going to sell a weld in roll cage for the cobalt

some arent 'dedicated' perse but are daily drivers, and are raced every weekend. roll cages benefit everyone. hell you stand a helluva better chance of surviving a wreck with on welded in
