Torque Forward Inc.
Installation Instructions for the Ion Redline and Cobalt SS Torque Brace.
1. I strongly recommend putting a support under the engine so that your engine does not move during installation.
2. Remove the three bolts holding the mount to the engine as shown in photo below
3.Install center brace as pictured below. (Mine was not fully installed. Make sure to torque the bolts back down sufficiently. Photo for demo purpose only.)
4. Remove either front or rear bolt that attaches the mount to the frame (front mount pictured, rear mount is same operation. Hole near notch in metal is one that’s bolted to mount on rear bracket.)
5. Attach blue brace with adjustable end to center mount and other end to the bottom bracket (either front or rear mount.) No adjustment is needed for front mount but for the rear you will need to make sure the eyelet has about four threads showing and the larger screw has two. Front mount once again pictured.
6. Make sure the damper (colored object) is not rubbing up against the mount. If it is, contact me immediately for a replacement. That’s it. Your torque brace is installed.
