Dayton, Oh area members?

update- *My gf and I got an apartment in Centerville. She will be moving there in September while I'm away at the academy. My family and hers will be doing the move. I leave for the academy on Aug.29th, and I should be back and living down there sometime in early to mid october. I'll be down there before I know it. Hope to meet some of you guys once I am.*

I accepted an Air Traffic Control position at Dayton airport so I will be moving sometime early in Sept. down to Dayton with my girlfriend. I was wondering if there are any members in the area. I'd love to have some people to meet up with and hang out since I'll be new to area and won't really know anyone other than my gf.

ATC, nice. I live in Columbus, but fly into Dayton once in a while. I fly for Airnet (callsign 'starcheck ###'). BTW where did you get your ATC training?

I went to school at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University down in Daytona Beach, Fl and got my Bachelor's degree in Air Traffic Management with a Minor in Meteorology. My FAA academy date was changed to Aug.29th so now it looks like i'll be moving down sometime in mid october. i'll keep an eye out for that callsign when i get there, lol.

kidding, I did the aviation thing for a bit and decided the schedule wasn't for me. Currently work for Morgan Stanley, I'm surprsed i haven't seen you around. actually nevermind, i forgot your guys moved out to rick.

awesome, we need more local guys this way. I live in troy, which is about 10 minutes or so from dayton. I know alot of the cobalts guys this way, but I usually seem to be one of the few rl's.

actually my schedule isn't too bad, 8 days on, 6 days off. who did you fly with in your tenure?

I see, I asked because the school I went to (Community College of Beaver County (Near Pittsburgh)), stop laughing, also had an ATC program. I looked into it a little bit, great job with good pay and benefits.
