Let me explaine. You work more than 8 hours and get paid 1 and a half times what you regularly get and the government taxes you double

So how'd it turn out at the strip? I was quite upset at work, because I was soaked and unhappy, and I could've been ripping through the gears at the track with ya'll. Hope it was a good time - any news?

Last night was pretty fun. My first 3 times up, I ran a 15.2, 15.1, and 15.0. Then a little later on when it was cooler out and after my car cooled off some, I was lined up against an '06 GTO. My goal was to break into 14s my first time there, but missed a gear each time on my 2nd and 3rd run. Against the GTO on my 4th and final run, I shifted nice and smooth with a decent launch, and ran my 14.9 Funny thing is, the GTO had a horrible launch, and missed a shift, keeping me ahead of him the whole time. I ended up beating him, as he ran a 15.25. That's the one run my brother didn't tape because they kicked him out of the car in staging, and he couldn't get to a spot to record quick enough But Al will vouch for me that I beat that GTO.

I'll post some of my slips in the next day or 2, while my brother works on putting the videos together with some music, because announcers for other events ruined the cars running.

I don't think Dave was too happy with his runs for the day...

A 14.9 for a track newbie is awesome. Like I said, when I went to the track up in Stanton with Clownhair, I ran a 15.0 as my best time, but I had a passenger in the car, so maybe shave .2 seconds off to take that into account. It's a whole lot of fun though, isn't it? Congrats on the GTO, too - not bad! What did Dave run?

Like shit. I don't have my times in front of me I'll post them later. 15.1 I think was my best and 95mph my highest speed. I was haveing a bad time launching. My first time at the track too. I think I was just too excited to get going down the track. Wheel hoped alot. I have video as well. Of in car with me only. My last run was good for launch sucked for time and speed but I got alot of comments about how I kicked the shit out of a Mustang GT. He was VERY pissed.

More on this later. I have to go do family BBQ stuff.

PS ran over to Gratiot later on the way home. My launches were perfect. I blame the hot track and my anxiousness. Why am I more comfortable doing on the street where it illegal than at the track where it is safe? Not that I condone that sort of behavior.
