What did the supercharger snout look like with the machine work to get the 2.6 on there? Or did it fit without?

That's weird. Goofy's car was moving along maybe 40mph. I wonder if that's a factor. Do you remember the vid? It went to 12psi. I'll have to find it and throw it on streetfire or something. It was a pretty cool vid.

I remember the vid, but I just thought he was bumping the throttle in gear. There might be ways to make it hit full boost for a second, but if you just rev in in N, at a stop, it goes up to some degree, but not all the way.

I've got the boost gauge that's hooked up to the computer's signals, and mine moves up when I rev it. I haven't really revved it to red line with the gauge in to see how high it goes though.

But this is interesting to find out if all this stuff is true, and he said he saw it hit 21psi on the gauge....

I'm curious myself, I hate thinking people claiming 300+ hp are being decietful, but there's a few things that make me wonder. Not gonna call BS though. Here's what I'd like to know.

1) 21psi? That one sounds like a bit of an embelishment. I tell people I hit 15psi, but most days it's like 13 or so. Nice cool nights = 15 with the bypass mod, 14 without. Of course I'm at 10 psi by like 3500-4000 rpms

2) 2.6" pulley is too small for the snout (I've been told), and has the blower spinning REAL fast. Almost too fast to make much more than pure heat.

3) Why would GM use a piggyback and not a reflash?

Let me ask you this, did you actually see this car or are you just buying into his bull story? He sounds like a ricer bitch kid who claims to have this and that when infact it's a stock car. I call BS. GM isn't going to give some kid $8000 worth of shit just becuase he knows someone high in GM.

I'm going to call BS on only the size of supercharger pulley because of all the various math that we've all down through the last year saying we can't put smaller than a 2.8". But I DO believe it puts down 303 because look at the book GM is putting out right now, its says "300+" so yeah I'll go with him saying its 300+

Matt has hit the nail on the head. Do you really think that GM will use someone from the general public as a test bed? Why do you think that you hear about all of the sightings around their prooving grounds of certain cars that are test mules of possible product releases? It's because GM will use their own vehicles and their own engineers to drive and report back on this kind of stuff.

Really, it sounds like a mudslide of bullshit. Now, if he had dyno graphs to back it up, that's a different story, but a verbal say so from a kid who's dad supposedly has connections. I say - PROVE IT.(dyno sheet)

Is he a member of Cobalt SS forums? Get him to sign up here and prove it. Seeing as though he has a Cobalt and not a Red Line, I don't doubt he has more options to build his car up with, I just need proof of 303 hp.

Even though this is a big list of stuff that's hard to believe since we haven't heard about it before, think of it a different way.

This could be a kid claiming that it's his car, but it might really be his dad's company test car, who could work for GM (since this is in that part of Michigan). So if you think of that scenario, it could be a GM test car that they've tuned out, and letting the engineers/higher ups take it out on weekends to put some miles on it and test it out. And this guy's dad let him have it for the night, where the kid leaked some info that probably isn't supposed to go public.

I don't know, I'm just putting a different scenario out there that makes it more believable
