Winter is comming all to fast!

Ok real quick how many of you are going to continue driving your R/L thru the winter?

How many of you have already drove the R/L thru a michigan winter?

What would be any recommendations if you were forced to do it.

Get new tires would be my biggest recommendation. I took it through one minnesota winter. Never again. She's parked for the winter now.

I drove mine all last winter. Just get some winter tires and you wont have a problem at all. I found the car to be a blast to drive in the snow. It handles great

I got stuck in a parking lot on the first day of snow last year in michigan. I got home and ordered 4 blizzak ws-50's and the car runs through the snow like a tank now.

Yup, tires is all it needs, as long as you drive it easy, it's a normal FWD winter car.

also dont use your parking brake in the winter. The rear brakes will freeze up on ya. I had that happen once last winter......I still didnt get stuck though

I am not sure if it a common thing or not. I had a ton of snow packed in the rim and the rear caliper didnt release untill I cleared it all away. It may not have frozen. It could have just been all the snow packed in the rim.

I have to use my parking brake in the winter or I can't use the remote start. I'll have to risk it.

When do you guys normally put on your snow tires? I don't want to do it to early but I also don't want to get stuck in the snow.

Alright as stupid as this may sound, it is possible then to put a remote start on a manual transmission car? If that's the case, that's the next thing I'm doing to my car, heh...
