heres a quick, easy, and cheapest way to keep water off of your intake. all you need is a piece of cut plastic ( i used some old plastic that came off the car when i put the K&n typhoon on my car), a plastic push push pin? (dont know what to call it, its the plastic pieces that hold the bumper on) and a metal washer. heres a picture to show what i mean.
![]() theres a hole that i saw when messing around today right where the headlight sits and i thought hmmm.. maybe this could work... this is the location of the hole. ![]() what your going to do to place the piece on your car is just like if your putting the bumper back on. slide the sleeve of the push pin through the plastic piece you made and into the hole located on the car behind the headlight. push the metal washer onto the back of the sleeve because the hole is to big to hold the piece in place by itself. then push the plastic pin into the sleeve and its done. heres what should be done on the car.... ![]() water will fall through the hole but it will not hit your intake anymore it will hit the plastic and run off to one of the sides of the plastic leaving you worry free! ![]() |

thats gonna help alot cuz. i filled that whole a while ago. but like i said to your post on uslsja, theres more places where the water is getting through. pop the tire and liner off out in the drivway in the sun. and look up through wheel well and you can see all the lines where light gets through. im gonna just fill everything over the filter from underneath with black silicone or somthing.
good fix though, looks cleaner than mine. |
