Polishing 101 (How-To)

Ok I have had Plenty of People ask how to do this, So here you go! Not all tools are needed but Highly Recomended! To get a good result You must prep it good (ie: sanding), Because when you Polish it any Blemish's will show!
Now for the Tools needed,
1 Baldor Buffer or compatiable 8 inch or Bigger

How do you get the scratches out after each grit is that what the wet sanding if for you never said that part i really want to do this what is the best part to start with the supercharger or the cam cover or the mount.I want to do all 3...One more thing where do you use the Dremel and what attachments...I would guess in the hard to sand places. But do you have to work them as hard as the rest of the sanding or is it faster to do the hard spots...

Each Grit you move up takes out the Prior grit scratches if you do this all the way up to 1500 & Then use the Loose cloth & Sewn cloth wheels with the Tipoli & white rouge & you will have a Mirror finish. I do suggest that you Pratice on some old Parts! Yes you use the dremel to polish & Sand the hard spots & after a little while you will get the hang of it!
Make sure to keep alot of rags around you will need them & only use a clean rag once you get above 1000 grit, Another words after sanding dont use the same rag it will scratch the surface!
Check out eastwood.com for their FAQ it's Great for Info!

I polished a set of aluminum Borrani wire wheels at work once. Not fun, we sanded to 2500 grit then finished with the white rouge, on a 4" wheel in a die grinder. Came out really nice, but not something that I would want to do on a regular basis. It is pretty cool to see the finished product go from scratches to a shine as you buff it, gives you a real sense of accomplishment. Excellent write up also!
