How to: Install TTR 04 front motor mount How to: Install TTR 04 front motor mount

Tools needed:
15 mm socket wrench (or regular wrench, w/e)
Chisel / Flathead screwdriver / something to pry the stock mount out with, and a hammer
Lubricant
Something heavy (a fat guy will do)

Step 1:
Jack your car up, support with jackstands. Optionally, you can use the jack to support the engine. I didn't since I replaced one mount at a time, but if you want to be safer it's not a bad idea.

Step 2:
Remove the bracket that holds your stock mount from the underside of the vehicle. The following is a pic from an 05 cobalt, but it's in the same exact location and is the same procedure

Step 3:
Remove the stock mount from the bracket in the manner that you desire. I have heard anything from using a press to a rock to burning it out with gasoline. Me? I used a hammer and a chisel to break the outer edge loose, then pried it out with the chisel. Wasn't too hard and only took like 15 minutes.

This is what you should have at this point;

This is how it goes into the mount;

Step 4:
Lubricate up the mount and inside of the brackets with your lubricant of choice, then press the mount in. I suggest leaving the metal sleeve out of the mount when you push it in, so it can flex a little and push in easier. For you smaller folks, this will be much easier with a vice, however we had a big fat guy, so he just put some weight on it and it popped in.

Step 5: Lube up and insert the inner metal sleeve. You may need to use the hammer to tap it in, since it's a pretty tight fit.

Step 6, either install the other mounts (how-tos are here)

or reverse steps 2 and 1, take it for a drive. Enjoy!

Mine shakes a good bit, but doesn't rattle any more than it did before. Personally, I like the feeling, but I can understand why some people wouldn't.

all mount replacements should be better at around 1k miles. Dont replace the stockers and drive for a week and remove them because of the vibes.

Update; after about 400 miles on the mounts, the vibrations are significantly less, but the shifting is just as crisp as when I installed them. Best option for the money by far.
