Fuel Filter Change (With Pictures)

How to change the LSJ Fuel Filter


Parts Needed:

- New Fuel Filter (AC Delco Part Number GF824)

- 3/8" Fuel Line Quick Disconnect Tool

I guess the fuel filter doesnt HAVE to be changed, but it helps out, at least at 100k i would think! dont post shit to me i just heard thru the grape vine!!!

i just hit 51K. you thing this has to do with poor gas miledge? cuz mines suckin lately.

trust me!!! if you saw the color of the gas that came out of mine at 35K.....woooooeeeeeee you'd change urs in 5 mins. I think once a year sounds good to replace these.....takes only 15 mins and 15 bucks anyway....no sweat.

This should at least be changed out (for your & the car's sake) by 50K miles

With 111,000 miles on the stock filter I expected worse than pictured in the original post. When the fuel poured out, it was as clean as it came out of the pump. I don't get it. I guess using only QT and Shell gasoline might explain it but I don't know.

I was the original poster & I only used BP 93 octane in my car

I don't know where you live.....but maybe it's because of the winter/summer gas here in Michigan

And also, I hope you know that you need to tip it backwards (from the way the gas flows thru the filter) to get all the nasty/dirty stuff out

just replaced my filter today, I just wish the quick release things worked better. SUPER easy and my fuel looked like ass. Hope I gain a lil mileage.

the "quick release" tabs on this car are SUPER easy to use

There's other cars out there that have the "quick release" tabs, but they're sooo much worse (Cavalier) & then if you break it you gotta replace the whole fuel line to get a new tab

The tabs were SUPER easy, I'm talking about the line release tool, at least the set I bought it didnt work all that great.
