Sorry I'm a terrible procrastinator. You can get paint at Wal-Mart or almost any auto store...almost. As far as niteshade I think you can only get that on the net. I'll post here when I update my yahoo pics.

Okay so once again I have failed you for night pics. But let me say it doesn't affect the light output at all that you could humanly notice.

I have seen a bunch of guys do this here on various types of cars. I am extremely close to doing it myself cause it makes the car look so much better, but I am curious about how much painting the background black will affect the headlights at night?? I always thought the chrome was there to serve as a reflector and hence shine more light?? Anybody know about this??

Pics and some feedback on this would be great!

You only paint the outside ring of the headlight. You don't paint the reflective backing behind the bulb. You tape that portion off. That still serves as a reflective surface. Also I finally took some night shots, and I'll try to put them on my yahoo page and show you guys it makes not a bit of difference whatsoever.

I can't put finger on chrome, but I can put tape !?

The tape won't remove the chrome ? I'll use masking tape, is that ok ?

When you "reseal" them, you use epoxy, silicon or something else ?

Masking tape is the way to go. I'm not familiar with the no finger touchy touchy rule. If you can get some latex gloves that could remedy that. Now that I think about it I think it was silicon.

Doing my headlight painting today. Using Krylon Fusion (Satin) for the job. Hope it comes out nice...I'm a bit wary and skeered to melt something but we'll get her done and I'll post up a pic of it when I get the chance.

It's going on a Red ION QC2. Hope that it looks okay.

Sorry, it looks pretty good. I like it. Turned out really well. I went further into the chrome than these other guys did, makes it look a bit meaner.
