Some new pics

Got the new tires put on today. Goodyear Eagle F1s. On closeout from Tirerack ($88 ea). I've already ordered another set.

Needless to say, these tires put the Lops to shame. Even with just a few miles on them, stuck around the curves better (and lose grip in a more controlled manner), and zero wheel hop. Dropping the clutch @ 2,500 or so just produces a little spin then they get up and go. Very quiet on the highway. Highly recommended.

Going dragging tonight. I think they'll be better straight line, once warm. The Lops were terrible for hop.

Curves seemed better. The Lops do really handle well, but these just feel slightly better. Really took a lot to get em to squeal. However, it could just be I was driving on mostly bald Lops for so long I forgot what they used to feel like. But I'm not sure how they'll handle in Auto X. Will let ya know.

the bald thing is a MASSIVE difference in any wheeled vehicle. if you're running bald you forget what it's like when you take those turns

The sidewalls on those should be just as stiff, if not stiffer than the Dunlops. Both made by Goodyear, and the same type of high performance tire. The F1s are the same 215/45ZR17 size right? I'll have to compare some of the data at work from these to the Dunlops, but I'm pretty sure the F1s have slightly better performance in most of the main categories. Good choice for the new set of tires, especially for that sweet price.

I'm thinking about either these or maybe trying some type of Continental ContiSport tire when it comes time to get another set, which hopefully won't be for awhile.

Arrow

The tires look good man. I think those are the ones that Alpha is planning on getting and those are the ones I'm thinking about when I need to replace my KDW 2's. They look like a good alternative, and as much as I love the BFG's I'd like to see if there is something better, like these.

@ 32 PSI, the sidewalls feel a TAD soft, but I was running the Lops at like 38+ psi. Gonna put some more air in these tires, and try them out.

However, after a night at te track, I can say they're amazing for launches. Zero wheel hop w/ a dumped clutch.
