I'm sure those numbers are a bit off, but we will only know for sure when the car is tested by others mags. I hope the numbers are better.

i read the SC article and they said that the gearing in the saturn is just way to long. the 0-60 time is good but they go through the 1/4 in third gear with room to go. they said that the upcoming cobalt should have better gearing. well maybe it wasn't SC but it was an import mag

no, they said that. second apparently is too tall. i'm pretty sure i got it from that article, but they mentioned that the saab tranny is used and that the saabs in europe generally have the tall second for towing stuff.... as in... what you WON'T be doing in an ION RL (but you can.... thanks to a tall second).

that's what I understand it to be. I really hope they fix these problems... get an LSD kit going... from quaife or otherwise..., fix the gearing, increase the rev limiter, and do all the fancy stuff.... seriously though, when i tell my friends about it, they're like 205hp... nice.... and when i tell my SRT-4 owning friends they're like "pshhfhfhstpsptpfss. it's a saturn :-P" and then i mention how it's still under peak power at the rev limiter and they're like phfphfphphshpfpdhpshph as they spit out their coffee.

it will be interesting to see if someone takes the 2.0 as a crate engine and builds up a beefed RL setup and then just stress tests it to see how much it can take (rev wise) or even where the dyno goes after peak.
