Just some random pics...h/e install on my car (kick ass mod, btw), dual pass install on Witt's car, and a small car show.

how hard was it for the install? Did you use bwoody brackets? What hoses are needed and how much coolant.. Better yet how about a how-to? lol.

As with most mods, need a lot of patience the first time, but would take half as much time next time. Easier if you have a lot of tools. All told probably a three hour install. Hardest part is getting the hoses OFF to plumb in the new h/e, then bleeding the system (I'm still doing that 2 days later).

We used this how-to as a guide:

http://www.shortbus.net/forums/showt...hanger+install

And modified where we saw fit. I.e. my h/e is installed backwards, as you can see, so my hoses enter and exit in front. Since I have mesh, you can't tell. We bled differently, too. After we got everything plumbed in, took off the bleeder vent on top the stock h/e (pain to get to. Look behind the top metal brace that runs behind the headlights, you'll see a cut-out and beyond that the bleeder). Then we filled as much as we could, capped the bleeder, started the car, let it run. Gotta keep squeezing pipes and banging on the h/e to get the bubbles out. Takes a while (hours of driving). Can also go out, drive easy, throw the car around, come back and fill it up, repeat.

All in all, the Cobra h/e got me nearly another gallon of 50/50 dex in the system. I still might have to top it off. Still waiting on my interceptor, so don't know the IAT2 drops, yet. However, my 3rd gear feels like a new gear. No more heat soak. This should be a required mod if you have a small pulley (I'm running 2.6). Combined with the dual-pass (I don't have that), you should see a huge drop in temps.

We made the brackets ourselves. Don't look as pretty as Bwoody's, but cost 1/4 as much.

why did you face the tubing towards the front of the car?... and put it so close to the a/c condenser.. mine is sitting right on the front bumper basicly and the tubing is facing towards to rear so it wont get kinked... i'm just wondering cause to me having it that close to the other condencer takes away some of the gains

Was easier to mount. Didn't have to screw into the aluminum impact bar thingy. The bar behind it had holes we were able to use. I don't think it'll make much dif. IAT2 wise. If they haven't fallen that much, it can be moved, if need be.
