Redline trailer

I finally got my trailer all setup and used it for last weekend auto-x at the Delphi plant in Saginaw. It worked great, real convenient. The big plus is that the car drives real nice with the trailer setup. When I would drive with all the stuff in the back it would weigh the rear down so much and the steering felt real light and uncomfortable on the highway. I can feel it back there when towing it and the gas millage takes a hit, but it is worth it in the time saved at the races.

Very cool. I was thinking of doing the same thing my-self. What's involved in setting up a trailer hitch on the RL, parts and labor wise? Did you have to cut the bumper?

Check out etrailer.com

There are 2 hitches available Redline specific. I have a 4" riser. If the car is not lowered you could probably get away with a 2" riser. No modification is needed at all. The hitch uses existing holes.

You will need a converter to wire the lights

that is friggen sweet!!!!! the bad part is that it adds 40lbs to the back of the car. 2000lb towing capacity is really nice......more than enough for a race trailer.

you should repaint the trailer though....to match the car....like with some silver spray paint or something. you could prolly do it w/a couple cans easy....since the trailer is so small.

you don't have to reg your trailer w/DMV in Michigan????

You do have to register it...shhhh

I don't see a issue with towing. A lot of people tow small trailers to the races. Especially Miata's and solstice's
