Yeah both of them have their problems with there cars but what do expect when you mod it and they are 10+ years old. Well we did the auto to stick swap ourselves so that why i think clutch is still funky. I just hate on dsm's bc everyone around here with them think they are god plus AMS used to be right around the corner. I will say tho that those motors can handle some power.

I spoil my cars. lol. Hence why I had one of the cleanest continuously RUNNING DSMs in New England. hahaha

2006 > 1996

Stock > Heavily modded

Reliable > DSM

New > Old

The downsides

Turbo > Supercharged (as of now, I've always been a snail fan.)

AWD > FWD

The IRL will be lightly modded, but I'm not going as crazy as I did with the DSM. It was a huge money pit. It took a ton of $$ to keep it running perfectly. I just got sick of the maintenance. It was time for a change. I miss the TSi, but I can't wait for the IRL to get here!!
