Fun stuff man. Nail those shifts. I think I could see your gas needle dropping as the night progressed Where was the cop at?

I kinda wish that some of the new racing games that are out or are coming out would give a view like this, because this is a pretty cool perspective to watch everything from. I want a video game that puts you in the drivers helmet, where you can see the gauges in front of you, and the front of the car or windshield, just so you get a depth of where you're controlling the car from. Forza almost has it where you can turn the camera like you're turning your head a little bit.

I'm going to do some similar runs when it's daylight. Maybe next weekend. I'm at work when it's daylight, so gotta wait till Sat or Sun

Cop was sitting in front of the NAPA. Saw me, but just turned his head. Didn't bother me. I was doing about 15 or so over when he saw me. No biggy, considering I don't have the aero wing

What is that clicking sound when you're shifting?

I heard that, too. No idea. Wasn't from my car. I assume you mean when I'm turning onto the main road at the stop light. Sounds like a camera shutter.

I was using a digital camera that can take video, so who knows

Clicking sounds like something rubbing against the camera, or what the camera is mounted to. Something only the mic can hear.

The last game where I remember seeing a dash is Viper Racing. Also The first two Need For Speed games. Viper Racing will actually move around. You take a tight turn and the camera will move as your head would, as far as G-forces. Working gauges too. Prolly one of the best driving simulators.

Duke, your left foot and your clutch pedal get along too well. Don't stay on it so long. Aside from being at a stop, the pedal should be more like an on-off switch. Practice some heel-toe too.

<-- Heel-toe demo. (click)

You will have much better vehicle control.

Daylight backroads runs would be the shxx. Stay safe.

I'm still learning the tranny. 1st stick...getting much better haha. But still practicing.

If my car's running fine (see the other thread about the CEL I threw), and there's no rain, I'm going to do a daylight backroad run. It's usually safe of peds/cops/traffic...and I don't PUSH myself to hard.

And I want a top speed run.

I don't condone it, mind you, but be safe. Yeah, man, practice is key. Do heel-toe during straight-line downshifting first.
