My new camera mount

I am loving this thing . I should have some kickass auto-x vid's next season.

It is winter so it is allmost allways wet and therefore the camera got all wet lol. It still looks pretty cool. Toward the end the camera tipped some due to me not tightening it enough. You can see the potental though. I also need to get a muffle for the mic on the camera. I will post pics of it mounted tommorrow when I get my digital camera cable.

This is the mount I got. It is the one mounted on the side of the Lotus

I'm usually not into the camera deals but I like this one. Man you can see a ton of weight transfer everytime you shift.

Once it gets colder I should be able to make some better vids. It's around 33 now and everything is wet.

Thats Sweet Ive always wanted to do something like this! So what type of camera do you use? Does it have to be water-proff or can you use like any camera and put it in an all weather case? Fill me in as Id really like to try this!

I am just using my run of the mill JVC mini DV camcorder. The water didnt hurt it but I am not gonna try running it in the rain. I am gonna pick up some foam today and experiment with a muffle for the microphone.

The mount also has an arm on it that allows it to be hung from an interior window. I took that off and should be able to mount the camera closer to the car.

I have had the same mount for about a year now and must say that it's awesome. also, if you can, do yourself a favor and get a cheap digital video cam so you don't have to worry about breaking your 500 dollar cam.

http://www.sewkomp.com/Aparaty/aiptek_3500.jpg I bought something like this for 100 bucks at target.

Heres a few videos of my setup in action.

The one I have is really good and I got it for 160 on ebay. Its a JVC mini dv. When I race I will have it teathered to the car and I wont be running it in the wet ever again. It is kinda dry now. I am gonna go play around a bit.
