yeah 180 is a little rough for this... use like a 400-600 instead reason is you may not be able to cover up the scratches left by the 180 with just the paint... personally i would recc a primer/sealer first just me though.. this will give the paint a really good bond and also allow you to even out any slight imperfections in the metal or from sanding.... i would also (again if i were doing this) go over top with a flat or satin low gloss clear... this will help against rock chips and debris chipping the finish.... but the best thing you can do is just powder coat em for not much more...lol

*shrugs* why worry about chipping engine enamel? if all else fails, sand it down again, and repaint. its like 5 bux

Agreed. Smoething mre along the lines of an 800 wet or even greater. Altough I guess flat black hides alot.

Also, I would recommend a wipe down with acetone before painting.

It would take quite a bit of sanding to blend paint chips. Besides my time is worth alot more than 5 bucks.

Damn, that look alot better. I must say, our stock rims are the gayest thing about our cars but that looks good.
