Bad Luck?

Either its bad luck or maybe people are trying to destroy it because it's rare to see around here, but *grrrrr*

Here's the story:
It's about 9pm, and I'm about to leave to go wash the car, and then go out driving. I'm walking to the car *do dee do dee do*, I unlock the car, and as you all know, the interior light comes on. As I near, I notice something about the the waythe light is shining thru the passenger suicide door window. Just... *cries*

Sorry for the dirtiness of the car, but yea. I WAS about to go wash it. And the tree in front doesnt help at all.

point of impact

inside bubble thing // whatever it was, it didnt go through, obviously

After having some more bad stuff happen, I called the insurance people and filed the claim. So, sometime tomorrow (saturday), there is a guy coming out to replace it. *sigh*

Damn that sucks. Looks like some punks shot it with a pellet/bb gun. The shitty thing is that mostly all insurance policies will cover it under comprehensive, but usually you always have to pay the first $100, and I bet that window is right around $100.

The total cost of the window was $308. I had to pay for it myself, because neither the glass company or I could get ahold of the insurance people (Farmers) to find out what my freakin deductible was. I could have waited til Monday for the glass to be fixed and see what my deductible was so I wouldn't have to pay so much, but living in Houston...no. I'll deal with the insurance company on Monday. Today while the guy was fixing the glass, I was looking at the car and on the top side panel thing and noticed this.

scratches!!

The pic from last night shows them better than i could get a pic of today. *grrr* I've cleaned the area off a while ago and got a better look at them and they just make me want to cry.

But onto the better pic of the newly installed glass

sad part is that i've installed that glass peice before... really simple... just need the right stuff to make it stick to the door... the window peices we sell at the dealership only costs us $60.. the rest is all labor time... very simple install tho... doesn't take long to do.. sucks to see that happen tho

Those windows break really easily. That same thing happend to me on the drivers' side. Must've been a little rock too cuz you could see the ripple effect. The whole thing just shattered exactly like that.
