the ls2 will only add about 100-150 lbs more to the front. then they put in an upgraded rear end and add some weight to the back your almost back to 50/50. throw a couple cynder blocks back there and your good. Anyway i usually build my cars for the quarter. there is no auto-x or circle tracks around here

Also I hope this is not to far off topic but would it be about as practical to add a turbo to the higher compression motor at about 7 psi or hold my breath for the Sky Redline. Any technical feedback would be greatly appreciated. And I can't wait for you all to put up a Sky Redline section to your forum.
For the last damn time people, it's going to be a turbocharged LSJ. Not a V6 and not a S/C LSJ.

Had a chance to drive one of the Mallet LS2 Solstice cars (that premiered at SEMA) recently. Just...WOW!
Looks to me like the LS2 just "belongs" in there (providing you never have to work on it)

I've got an phone call in to see if their kit will work with the Sky (don't see why NOT!) That would be my dream car for under $50K
As much as I love the ECOTEC the brute V8 torque just turns that car into a totally different animal

I hate you sometimes. Not only do you make me feel like an idiot after all your posts, but then you get to have fun like this?? You're a mean mean man.

Exactly, finally received a GM Powertrain pic of the new VVT "direct-injected" twin-scroll turbo 2.0 dubbed the LNF
Looks good!! (Let's see how long it takes for someone to make it into an avatar)

more than a miata eater.... if that 253 ends up being underrated like the IRL, we'd be talking about any boxster eater out there under like 50 grand i think?

miata, z3, z4, boxster (maybe s too, MAYBE), s2k, and whatever else

mmm

Ya, I saw the cut-away version of the 2.0 turbo at NAIAS next to the Solstice GXP display. Nice looking engine. Too bad they aren't adjusting the look of the car at all to match (like the difference between a QC and a RL).

Anyone else wish they would have turboed the ION RL's?

That Sky RL is sweet but I need a car I can fit my kids in as well.
