Not to rain on peoples parades, but...

Can we have this thread split and the nitrous stuff moved somewhere else?

Very good stuff, though. Area puts a lot of good knowledge out.

Yeah sorry 'bout the major jackage guys. Probably would be good to put all the non tvs stuff in a different place... I think the harrop guys are probably too busy to post right now, but I'm sure they'll be back when it's time for us to buy something

Yeah, I guess they probably just see the reality that they will only sell a minimal ammount of units to us. The Redline is dead, and so is this thread.

I think that the opposite is going to happen. I think they are going to sell, especially if the ones that are testing the units are able to put together a good package deal (injectors, pulleys, tunes, etc).

My opinion is that there is going to be another wave of aftermarket available after these units hit. I don't see from the numbers how the GM manifold or a shortie are going to be able to hold up on the exhaust side of things, meaning mid-length or longtubes are going to be needed. Other than Vibrant and ZZP, not much else for choices....if these testers are truly "testing" chances are they may actually try to produce another option as a "package" deal.

The other thing to this is, if you have 60# injectors and are looking for more, you are halfway there from the estimates of what you WILL need to run this.

he said they won't sell many units to redline owners not they won't sell many units period. That's why there on the cobalt forum almost everyday. and they already stated about 10 times that they will not sell supporting mods so count a package deal out. they have neither the cobalt nor the redline in austrailia so......... make up your own supporting mod list

I see what your saying about posting over here for RL owners vs Balt owners.

Harrop won't be selling the supporting mods, which I knew...they are only producing the blower...but what about the "Testers"? Do you think they are going to everyday "Joes" or people at are in shops that actually have the ability to "package" everything for these?

Just throwing this out there because most know the names, say rebel or hahn or whoever, that already produces turbo kits got a hold of the TVS, wouldn't they, more than likely produce a TVS kit?

That is what I was meaning about package deal.

testers will be everyday joe's probally. I don't think any other company would be interested in duplicating this supercharger. All those other places are competitors, maybe zzp or someone will come out with a kit. plus harrop is hard to compete with, there the best at what they do and there backed by eaton

i'm not meaning shops, duplicate the TVS units...what I'm meaning is they take the TVS, just like you would with a turbo, and "package" it with injectors, exhaust, tuning...whatever you would need to get it up and running. That way, us, who would be buying interested in buying/upgrading to this, would be able to buy at a much more affordable "package" pricing, instead of buying each individual part on its own at full cost.

Since a full exhaust is more than likely going to be necessary, I don't see them buying a ZZP or Vibrant header and re-selling it. I would see them producing their own header to provide competition to the already established companies/vendors available to the Cobalts and Redlines. Thats where I see new aftermarket companies popping up to offer more competition.
