figured out the problem

read here for a bit of background
25 psi holy crap

so I pulled the downpipe today and huge chunks of cat just started falling out. It turns out I was right and it was in bad shape. Its taken care of now and is back to pushing 15 psi and feels real nice. I finally got fed up when I couldnt drive up a hill because it would drop into limp mode. Never had another car eat a cat before.

The cat should be under warranty.

This has happened to more than a few RL's, right? Seems odd for a lot of fairly new cats to come apart. Is this a common problem in general or is it unique to our application (supercharged)?

Well, cat issues have been around for a while, so I'm not sure that it's just our car. It might be worse with forced induction because the exhaust temps are higher, and with a turbo, you have alot of the heat being put into the turbine. Clown has also put alot of 'test' miles on that cat...
