Dyno Results - 6 pulls and quit!

Feel free to move this thread, wasn't sure where to put it exactly.

Here's the deal: (Hp/Trq)
4,5,6 are the baselines we did yesterday...220/196, 224/191, 223/187
(Wasn't impressed with these numbers, considering I'm running K&N CAI, SMS TB, CTI Header/3" Exhaust)
7,9 are the pulls immediately after Stage 1 install (injectors/reflash)
(VERY disappointed in these results...WTF?)
10, 12, 13 are after we installed the 3.15 pulley (Stage 2?)
(Again, WTF?)

So, right off the bat today, I was thinking something's wrong. A/F was running a little rich early in the day, but by the end had fallen right into where we expected it - w/ Saturn Tech's standing by watching.
I noticed the boost wasn't all that high (AFTER) the pulley - peaked at 12psi RIGHT as the car in the Rev Limiter, and was pretty steady 11-11.5psi after 5k RPMs.

Now, I thought the boost bleed occurred @ 14.5 AFTER the Stage 1 reflash (Spoon?)...

Just for shits and giggles, we did run 13 with the boost bypass mod (using the Tech 2 for runs 12/13) - #13s boost was 194 kpa and #12s boost 175 kpa.
(Jump on the internet, and you can convert those kpa #s to about 25 and 28 psi)...there's NO way I was running that kind of boost...not with only 240 whp!

So, WTF? Where's the power? Where's my boost? I was expecting to see somewhere around 260 whp WITH the 3.15 pulley...is that overly optimistic? (I thought I was being conservative...but THESE #s are ridiculous!)

BTW...stock plugs are gapped at .045 - and no one in the shop today thought we should do anything to those until we found my missing boost.
We watched Knock for a few runs and noticed very little, if any.

I'm stumped...the dyno tuner's stumped...the Saturn techs are stumped...anyone?????

I say lets see what happens with a 2.9 or 2.7 cuz your power might be there

Yeah, but what's GM rating these stage kits at? Are you going to tell me that my pulley being 3.15 vs GMs (3.06?) is hiding that power?

My boost should be higher - no question...that's where the power is, just have to find the boost.

I'm investing in the ZZPerformance adjustable tensioner - looked at swapping down to the 2.9 with the 70mm idler from Billetflow, and went "yeah right!"...I need an easier setup than removing motor mounts and sh*t!
We'll see...

Hmmmm....that's weird, maybe the computer needs time to "learn" and adjust... Get some different pulleys and try again.

I think that you have way to much airflow without enough power to push the air through. You got a full 3" with a throttle body and intake, I think your car is just flooded with stagnant air and there is no power from the engine to push the air from the intake to the exhaust fast enough to get the power you want. I would say maf-t or a 2.7 or 2.9. You dont need a idler or tensioner for a 2.9 so I say try that first

We thought about this "learning curve" - it was evident in the A/F ratios for sure - definitely rich in the AM, but fell into the "green" so it's cool now.

I'll have them check tomorrow...doubt it - wouldn't there be any other symptoms?
Can't see the highflow cat from CTI clogging after 2-3k miles (at the most!)...

Thought there was slippage with the less than 3"? Willing to try, that's for sure.
If there's "stagnant" air, could that cause me to lose boost? Wouldn't I still, at the least, get my 12.5 lbs??? (Someone correct this number if it's wrong - think that's what I've seen posted before)

Im not good at crunching numbers im just throwing ideas out there about what the problem could be. There is definate no slippage with a 2.9" I have it and it never slips, at least with the billetflow one. I dont think you'd get all your boost cuz your engine is booged down too much. I still think 3" is way too big for this car and your loosing power that way, but if I say that sp00ner will yell at me asking for proof but thats just my opinion.
